Saskatchewan Dentists & Botox\u00ae: Regulatory Requirements<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The following information outlines requirements set by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan before dentists can offer neuromodulator treatments. This page is intended as general information \u2014 it is the responsibility of each dentist to confirm current scope and practice guidelines directly with their college.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Saskatchewan has formally approved Botox\u00ae for dentists<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CDSS) has established a formal Standard of Practice for Advanced Facial Esthetic Therapies, covering the administration of neuromodulators such as Botulinum Toxin Type A for both therapeutic and aesthetic indications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dentists and dental specialists in Saskatchewan may offer these treatments \u2014 but only after completing CDSS-approved training at each required level and obtaining the corresponding certificate from the College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Providing these services without the appropriate CDSS certificate, regardless of any other credentials or training completed, is not permitted and may constitute unprofessional conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note on dermal fillers:<\/strong> As of the date of this publication, dermal fillers have not been formally approved for dentists in Saskatchewan under a CDSS Standard of Practice. Dentists are advised to contact the CDSS directly before offering any dermal filler treatments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CDSS uses a structured, gated training model. Dentists must complete each level in sequence before advancing to the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
