The following information outlines requirements set by the Newfoundland & Labrador Dental Board (NLDB) before dentists can offer Botox\u00ae and dermal filler treatments. This page is intended as general information \u2014 it is the responsibility of each dentist to confirm current scope and practice guidelines directly with their college.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Newfoundland & Labrador has formally approved Botox\u00ae and dermal fillers for dentists<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


The Newfoundland & Labrador Dental Board (NLDB) has established a Standard of Practice (No. 7) for the Use of Botulinum Toxin (Type A) and Esthetic Therapies. Each dentist must apply to the NLDB and be issued a certificate prior to providing any level of care outlined in the Standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Providing these services without an NLDB certificate is considered professional misconduct and will result in disciplinary action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
