Dentists must be registered on the NBDS public registry for the specific treatment rosters before providing any of these services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Providing these treatments without the appropriate NBDS registration is not permitted and may constitute professional misconduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The New Brunswick roster system<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New Brunswick uses a roster-based authorization model, similar to Manitoba:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><strong>Section I \u2014 Neuromodulators for Myofascial Pain &amp; Parafunction<\/strong><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Management of bruxism (temporalis and masseter muscles)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of headaches, migraines, and temporomandibular disorders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong>Section II \u2014 Neuromodulators for Other Uses<\/strong><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Upper face: frontalis, glabellar complex, procerus, corrugators supercilii, orbicularis oculi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mid-face, lower face, and neck: superficial muscles in these areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong>Section III \u2014 Dermal Fillers<\/strong><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nasolabial fold, lip augmentation, gingival augmentation, malar enhancement, nasojugal groove, glabellar, laugh and marionette lines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Note: non-resorbable fillers are restricted to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Patient must be a patient of record within the dentist&#8217;s own dental practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treatment must occur in a clinical dental setting \u2014 not in spas, salons, fairs, or private residences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appropriate antidotes must be present when performing injections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dentist must maintain continuity of care and emergency coverage outside office hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The separate log requirement \u2014 unique to New Brunswick<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New Brunswick is one of two provinces requiring a separate contemporaneous treatment log in addition to the patient chart.
