The following information outlines requirements set by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) before dentists can offer Botox and dermal filler treatments. Ontario permits Botox\u00ae and dermal fillers for dentists within the scope of dentistry<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) permits dentists to administer botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, provided the procedures fall within the scope of practice of dentistry. The RCDSO, however, does not publish a specific Standard of Practice with a formal certification-level framework as some other provinces do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ontario dentists are expected to comply with the RCDSO’s broader dental recordkeeping standards and general conduct guidelines when providing these services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
