Botulinum toxin (“Botox”) is now a widely used treatment for TMD and craniofacial pain \u2014 but most dentists still treat it as a one-size-fits-all injection rather than a data-guided therapy. This course introduces EMG (electromyography), a simple, non-invasive test that measures the electrical activity of muscles, and shows how it can transform the way you diagnose and treat TMD patients. Dr. Roberts will demonstrate how EMG readings help pinpoint which muscles are actually contributing to a patient’s pain, determine the right dose, and identify the optimal time to inject. He will close with a live injection demonstration of a technique designed to minimize negative side effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
