The FETAP outlined a tiered and gated system for dentists to achieve safe, evidence-based patient care in facial aesthetics and therapeutics.
As a result, Alberta dentists are uniquely positioned to offer facial injectables. Under CDSA guidelines, dentists are authorized to administer Botox® and dermal fillers, provided they have completed appropriate, accredited training.
