Level 3 – Advanced Team Training for BoNT-A
Who is a Team Member and why is it recommended for them to come to the course?
Team Members are any non-injecting staff member within your office, such as: receptionists, office managers, chair-side assistants, hygienists, medical office assistants, pharmacist assistants, etc. We have found that the offices who cross-train their entire teams are the most successful integrating treatment into their practice. Team Members play an important role facilitating the integration into your practice. We highly encourage you register your entire team for the Level 2 – Team Training course.
What are EMG’s and why are they important?
PTIFA teaches you how to incorporate electromyograph (EMG) analytics when treating your myofascial pain patients with therapeutic botulinum toxin. Incorporating EMG analytics allows the practitioner to determine which muscle is firing, calculate proper dosage and know when to re-inject. Without EMG’s, practitioners treat their patients blindly. Chair-side assistants and Team Members play an important role discussing and using the EMG’s on patients. Additionally, Team Members will learn how to load syringes and take the correct photographs for treatment in the mid-face, lower-face and neck.
Can I register my Team Members closer to the course date?
Yes. Typically we can accommodate Team Member registrations, however the practitioner seats are limited due to the low Instructor to Student ratio.
