Overview

This advanced facial dermal filler course reviews the anatomy, the extra-oral/intra-oral and tri-bolous injection techniques for maxillary cheek augmentation and increasing temporal and chin volume using the cannula technique. Treatments and results of cases from Level 1 through 4 will be reviewed and presented in combination with dermal fillers to complete the 3D analysis and rejuvenation of lost volume to yield predictable results.

Level 5 includes an online component (8 hrs), plus an extensive one-day clinical session held in Vancouver, BC.

Online Didactic

The online portion of Level 5 includes five sections:

  1. Advanced Applications to Dermal Fillers
  2. Foundational Concepts
  3. Injection Techniques for Maxillary Cheek Augmentation, as well as Temporal and Chin Volume
  4. Clinical Techniques including Cannula
  5. Complications

Clinical Session

The clinical portion of Level 5 includes a one-day hands-on session always held on Saturday.

Day 1 (Saturday) - Clinical Hands-on

The clinical hands-on will provide you with the opportunity to watch a live demonstration and then inject dermal filler using the advanced techniques on your own patient models. Each practitioner must provide at least one patient model for treatment (and brining multiple patients is highly recommended).

  3. Develop a team oriented 3D analysis and injection set-up protocol.
  4. Understand that the initial diagnosis is critical to presenting the multi-treatment rejuvenation options to the patient
  5. Understand how to improve patient care with filler for maxillary cheek augmentation, cheek volume and temporal volume and chin volume using the cannula technique for volume.
