Level 3: Patients for the Clinical Hands-on

We are committed to maximizing the amount of hands-on clinical experience you have in the Level 3 program. In order to achieve this, each practitioner (dentist/doctor/nurse) is required to provide a patient of record for the clinical hands-on. Typically, each practitioner will have a team member be their patient in the program, as your practice will benefit from team members being able to relate their personal experience of botulinum toxin treatment to patients. An alternative is to have a family member, friend, or one of your top patients come as your patient. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to provide a patient model for the hands-on.

Patient Type

Level 3 covers both therapeutic and cosmetic uses of botulinum toxin. Patient models for cosmetic treatment typically would like to reduce the signs of aging and improve their appearance cosmetically in their mid-face (nose-area), lower-face (gummy smiles, uneven lips, smoker lines, chin, jowls) and neck (necklaces lines). Patient models for therapeutic treatment would like to reduce myofascial pain, including bruxism/TMJ symptoms (bruxing, clenching or grinding). You are required to provide follow-up care for your patient model.

Treatment Fee

Please note that each practitioner is responsible for their patient’s treatment fee, which is provided at the course at a courtesy rate of $6/unit.
