Dr. Roberts and the team at PTIFA welcomes naturopaths/ND’s from Vancouver, British Columbia to take our extensive hands-on Botox and dermal fillers training program. Thanks to the work of the Quality Assurance Committee, and with input from the Scope of Practice and PDR (Pharmacopoeia, Diagnostic and Referral) Committees and support from College staff, the CNPBC Board approved a group of Aesthetic Procedures Certifications. It was determined that these procedures were within the scope of practice for naturopathic physicians in BC, and the Board decided that requiring a group of certifications, with required training, would best protect the public. This ensures that those naturopathic doctors who choose to use aesthetic procedures within the context of their doctor-patient relationships meet required training standards.
Who Can Take These Courses?
Naturopaths/ND’s who practice in the province of British Columbia.
On May 11, the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC) approved PTIFA’s Level 1, Level 2 and Level 4 courses, however they have recently withdrawn their approval due to the use of photography and the requirement of providing a patient for the hands-on training. To our knowledge, the board has not established a standard of practice and has not specified specific hours of anatomy review, nor training requirements. View recent updates here.

Why Do I have to take the Level 3 Course?

Practitioners must understand how Botox is used in the mid-face, lower face & neck, prior to advancing to dermal fillers. The Level 3: Advanced Botox course is recognized as an advanced continuing education course by the CNPBC.

Upon graduating from the Level 2 hands-on course, all ND’s are encouraged to join the online Botox Study Club for case support, bi-monthly CE webinars, team training videos, research articles, online forum and more…
